The best chile relleno around, and also the best beans. Excellent posole. I have yet to try the fried quail. The waitress recommends the “stripe soup.” They get an A+ for atmosphere, recommended.

I've been to La Sirenita once, and loved it. I had the chile relleno, and it was excellent. This place was recommended to me by a woman who works at the Mexican Embassy, and I agree with her assessment that it is the best Mexican food in the DC area. I just wish it were closer to DC so I could go more often.

I love La Sirenita. The tamales are my favorite (and so cheap!). I don't like going at night, though, cause the neighborhood can feel seedy. Also, their cash machine is broken and I don't think they take cards.

This restaurant does take credit cards - but cash is best. It is not unsafe at night. Parking is right in front of the restaurant. Glad to have this place 5 minutes from my home - fantastic, authentic Mexican food. Beats having to get on a plane to Mexico!

For Mexican food on the east coast, this restaurant was alright. Compared to what's on offer out west, though, I give this place's food a mediocre rating at best.
