Bolivian Bakery - Palacio del Silpancho

Bolivian Bakery, 6184 Arlington Boulevard, Falls Church, VA, Willston Shopping Plaza, right next to Mark’s Duck House, 703-531-0777 (Metro Trip Planner - opens in new window) [openlist]

The “subtitle” of this restaurant is “Palacio del Silpancho”. How can you hate a place like that? This is not the very best silpancho but it is at least at the area average and sometimes above it. Maybe it is too salty in parts. But this is a very sympathetic restaurant and they have lots of fruit drinks too. Worth an occasional visit.

My husband, an economist at the Fed Reserve, is a huge fan of yours. So I read and loved your book about discovering your inner economist. As someone who writes about marketing, I loved the stuff about nonprofits and how to screw rivals over by giving a small amount. But when I read this review of fish and chips my mouth started to water in a way that didn't really happen during your economics books. As Aussies, we miss fish and chips and good Asian food. We are heading to the four sisters for lunch and maybe we can stretch out the trip until dinner time to take in fish and chips too. Thanks for all the good food for body, soul and mind.
