Welcome

May 17, 2006

Welcome to Tyler Cowen's Ethnic Dining Guide in blog format. The Guide includes more than 450 restaurants in the Washington, DC area.

The Guide remains available in its original one-page format and location, and can be found via Tyler's web page at GMU. The current Guide is the February, 2006 edition.

If you don't see a listing here that appears in the one-page Guide, it means that we still must check to see if it remains open.

For an overview, scope note, and general advice before using the Guide, please see "General remarks."

Let us know what places you recommend, and if a place has closed, changed its name, or moved:

And don't forget, all food is ethnic food.

Comments and trackbacks are moderated to avoid junking them up with spam. After all entries are made on the blog, we will create links from each restaurant in the html format-Guide to its blog entry here.

To poke around, use the finding features located in the right hand column: Search, Current Favorites, and Categories.

Also be sure to check out Tyler's other blog, Marginal Revolution.

When you are finished importing all the content, how about creating a Google Maps mashup with reviews linked to pins on a map. That way I can easily find a TC-recommended place for any neighborhood I happen to be in.

Check out http://googlemapsmania.blogspot.com/ for inspiration.

http://www.gmu.edu/jbc/Tyler/20th%20Cowen.htm is not working, just to let you know.

Thanks!

Thanks for alerting us. The pointer to the one-page html format is now working at
http://www.gmu.edu/jbc/Tyler/tyler_cowen.htm

You can now move between the two formats.
