Welcome

June 15, 2006

Welcome to Tyler Cowen's Ethnic Dining Guide in blog format. The Guide includes more than 450 restaurants in the Washington, DC area.

The Guide is also available in its original one-page format, and can be found via Tyler's web page at GMU. The current Guide is the February, 2006 edition.

For an overview, scope note, and general advice before using the Guide, please see "General remarks."

To look around, use the finding features located in the right hand column: Search, Current Favorites, and Categories.

When you are finished importing all the content, how about creating a Google Maps mashup with reviews linked to pins on a map. That way I can easily find a TC-recommended place for any neighborhood I happen to be in.

Check out http://googlemapsmania.blogspot.com/ for inspiration.

http://www.gmu.edu/jbc/Tyler/20th%20Cowen.htm is not working, just to let you know.

Thanks!

Thanks for alerting us. The pointer to the one-page html format is now working at
http://www.gmu.edu/jbc/Tyler/tyler_cowen.htm

You can now move between the two formats.

Al's Steakhouse in an icon in Alexandria. Great for carry-out. Call ahead for your Philly cheesesteak and go to a park to enjoy.
