Obrycki’s

Obrycki’s, web site, 1727 East Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD, 410-732-6399. Not open outside of the crab season, though, which varies. [Baltimore Sun | NYT | 10Best | City Paper | openlist | Roadfood | Citysearch | TravelLady | Yelp | Gayot]

Yes, that’s right, Baltimore. This place blew me away, and I don’t even like crabs, or rather didn’t even like crabs until I was converted. A memorable experience, though I received one report of decline.

Also recommended by readers are Faidley’s (web site, 203 North Paca, Lexington Market, Baltimore, MD, 410-727-4898), and The Edgewater Inn (in Edgewater, near Annapolis)
